Types

There are two main types of sentence construction: simple and complex. 

• Simple sentences are made up of just one independent clause. They typically contain a subject and a verb and express a single idea. 
• Complex sentences are made up of one or more independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses.
• Dependent clauses cannot stand alone as sentences. They must be attached to an independent clause.

There are several things to consider when constructing a sentence, such as:

· The subject – what the sentence is about

· The verb – the action that is happening

· The object – the thing that the subject is acting upon

· The modifiers – words that describe or modify the subject, verb, or object

· The tone – the overall feeling or atmosphere that you want to create

Sentence cohesion

Linguistic cohesion refers to how a sentence or text's structure and content are linked to convey meaning. In order for a text to be coherent, a sentence, a paragraph, and a section must be cohesive.

There are several reasons why cohesion is important:

• It teaches one how to write sentences and paragraphs in a structured way
• A flow of ideas that is logically related and connected
• As a result, one can express their ideas in a way that is easy for a reader to understand
