Topic 24
The above presented bar graph illustrates three different tech companies, namely IBM, Microsoft and Apple. Senior male employment was relatively less in the initial stage for IBM. However, over a period of tie, there was an increase in their number.
Apple employed 15% of the men in senior development positions in 1980. However, Microsoft employed roughly 7% of men in senior developer positions. After approx 10 years, the ratio of these employees approximately accounted for 10-12%. Later, the male developers’ proportion in higher posts in IBM increased tremendously.
Compared to IBM, Apple accounted for nearly 25% of its developers, whereas Microsoft accounted for 45% of their employees.
