A conclusion should always restate your ideas in the rest of the essay. New ideas should be in the main body and not in the conclusion. Make sure you answer the question in the conclusion. The conclusion should state your thoughts about the question and clarify your feelings about the issue
1. Refer to your main introduction
Your introduction and conclusion should be tightly related to one another, therefore you could want to consider them as two pieces of the same puzzle.
Reiterate the concept(s) you discussed in your introduction and include any new information you have learned since drafting the essay's body.
2. Summarize your points
A summary of your essay's main ideas should be included in the conclusion. But be careful to avoid doing the same thing twice. Instead, demonstrate to the examiner how your ideas and the evidence you cited to support them all fit together.
3. No repetitions
Avoid using the same terminology from your body paragraphs when summarizing your essay's primary ideas. Avoid using the same phrases and sentence structures over and again by varying your wording. This will demonstrate to the examiner that you have a wider vocabulary and command of grammar.
4. Be opinionated
You will always be required to express your opinion in an essay in Writing Task 2. Make sure to incorporate your opinion in your conclusion if, as you near the end of your paragraph, you realize that you haven't expressed one.
5. Avoid introduction of new arguments
Make sure your conclusion does not introduce any additional issues. Do not introduce new ideas in your concluding paragraph; rather, use it to wrap up your essay.
