Writing Task 2 Topic: Work and Career-IELTS

See the most typical IELTS Writing task 2 questions + answer samples for Jobs and Employment topic.
Definition-

You will have one hour to finish the entire writing test, including tasks 1 and 2. It is advised to complete work 1 in no more than 20 minutes and devote the remaining time to task 2, as task 2 will earn you more band than activity 1. Grammar and word usage on the test will both be taken into account when determining your score. Use around 150 words for task 1 and 250 words for task 2, respectively.

Question-

Some individuals believe that a person's job is the most significant aspect of their existence. Life loses all purpose if a career fails to succeed. How much do you concur or disagree?

Sample Answer-

I genuinely believe that there are other aspects that might make people's lives meaningful, even though it is often stated that a prominent career is thought to be the most important thing in a person's life.

On the one hand, there is no denying the importance of employment in one's life. A person spends between 25 to 30 years working, which equates to nearly one-third of their lives, according to a yearly poll conducted in the UK. People are therefore more likely to live happy lives if they find a worthwhile profession that flourishes. Additionally, being trapped in a fruitless career may have a negative impact on people's moods.People who have a rocky career or experience work discontent may feel chronic stress and discouragement, which negatively impacts their mental and physical health as well as their attitude on life.

On the other hand, I think that there are more worthwhile objectives in life than having a prosperous profession. Most individuals believe that assisting those who are disadvantaged and in need is what makes life meaningful. They devote the most of their lives to charitable activities. There are others who do not work yet appear to be content with their lives. Dual-income households are less widespread in some Asian countries like Japan than they are in Western countries.Take Japan as an instructive example; males are frequently the breadwinners while women remain at home, assume responsibility for childcare, and manage domestic tasks, which makes them feel content as a long-standing custom.

Despite the fact that people can surely benefit greatly from a successful career, there are still many important variables that may help them lead happy lives.

Conclusion-

To prepare for this exam all you have to do is work hard and gather as many resources as possible from books, online websites, videos etc. For further information you can visit SpeakoClub and receive a lot of information regarding IELTS. Both the exams have their own importance. Nothing is impossible, not even this exam. Once you decide to clear it then all you need is a proper dedication to clear it and achieve your life goals.
