Not all eight are approved by The Scripture. The last four were not advocated and the last one was condemned. These are Brahma Marriage, Daiva Marriage, Arsha Marriage, Prajapatya Marriage, Gandharva Marriage, Asura Marriage, Rakshasa Marriage, and Paishacha Marriage.
A marriage vow is a sacred and serious declaration made by two people who are pledging their lives to each other. There are many different types of marriage vows, but all of them should be taken seriously and with care.
Here are 8 different types of marriage vows:
1. Traditional marriage vows: These are the most common type of vows and usually include promises to love, honor, and cherish each other.
2. Religious marriage vows: These vows are based on the teachings of a particular religion and usually include promises to obey the teachings of that religion.
3. Secular marriage vows: These vows are not based on any particular religion and usually include promises to love, honor, and cherish each other.
4. Modern marriage vows: These vows are based on more modern ideas about marriage and usually include promises to be honest and supportive of each other.
5. Renewal marriage vows: These vows are taken by couples who have already been married and are renewing their commitment to each other.
6. Handfasting vows: These vows are taken by couples who are having a handfasting ceremony. This is a type of ceremony where the couple’s hands are tied together with a cord or ribbon.
7. Elopement vows: These vows are taken by couples who are eloping, or getting married without telling anyone in advance.
8. Private marriage vows: These vows are written by the couple and are not shared with anyone else. They are usually very personal and intimate.
