My goals for the new year, from Darren
Every year, I like to start with my New Year's resolutions. I read them again on January 1st to assess my performance.
Here are my goals for the coming year.
1. Work out!
I say this every year, but I think writing it down in the open would help it become more genuine. Three runs a week is my goal, and I believe I can achieve it. I believe a fitness tracking software could be of assistance to me. Or I could track down a running buddy. Please let me know if you would like to be my partner if you are reading this.
2. Put away 10% of my monthly income
I'm starting to get worried about not having any savings, and 10% is reasonable. It's not excessive, but it's also not so small that I won't notice the accumulation. I'll deposit the cash in a unique bank account that will help it grow. Actually, I don't know much about that, so perhaps learning how to invest money might be my next resolution!
3. Continue to prepare food
I want to start hosting dinner parties for friends and cooking for them. Once a month, in my opinion, is a fine schedule. I want to master five dishes by the end of the year so that others might remark, "Have you ever tried Darren's exquisite cooking?" Who would like to be my first visitor?
