Determiners are used before a noun to introduce it. It may also be used to provide more information on the noun like how many are there.
For example- 'a', 'the', 'some', 'this', and 'each'.
Examples of determiners used in sentences-
· The boy went home. (Determiner before the noun)
· I ate a tasty sandwich. (Determiner before adjective tasty)
· The pencils are not sharpened by me. (Determiner before plural noun)
Types of Determiners-
1. Demonstrative:
Determiners are: this, that, these, those.
· Is this yours?
· I am not going to that place.
2. Quantifiers:
Determiners like quantifiers how much or how little the noun is.
· He took all the boxes
· Few children did their homework
3. Possessive:
Determiners are: my, yours, theirs, ours, etc.
